Cervical Pathology and HPV

It is a very common virus transmitted through sexual contact. There are many types: some clear spontaneously, while others may cause lesions on the cervix that, if not monitored, can progress over the years.

HPV is very common, but most cases resolve on their own. What matters most is accurate diagnosis and appropriate follow-up to prevent complications.

Specialized unit for cervical pathology and HPV. Accurate diagnosis and appropriate follow-up to prevent cervical lesions.

How It is Diagnosed

Diagnosis is performed through liquid-based cytology, HPV testing, and colposcopy.

At our center, we use high-resolution technology and risk-stratification protocols to avoid unnecessary interventions.

Treatment of Lesions

  1. Low-Grade Lesions
Most cases only follow-up. Our goal is to avoid unnecessary surgery.
  2. High-Grade Lesions — CIN2–CIN3
When treatment is necessary, we use precise and safe techniques such as conization, laser treatment, or minimally invasive surgery. We preserve fertility whenever possible.
  3. Comprehensive Management
  • Vaccination
  • Regular follow-up
  • Sexual health counseling
  • Multidisciplinary care when needed

A positive HPV result does not mean cancer. It means we need to support you with a clear, safe, and personalized plan.
